There are 5 keys scoring indicator stats in my evaluation,
- InPBox C - Inside Penalty Box Chance per appearance.
- Con Rate - Goals Conversion Rate base on chances.
- Goal/Mtch - Goal created per match.
- Ex Goal 31 - Expected goals in 31 matches.
- Goal/Mil - Goals per million.
1. Viktor Gyökeres £9m
Surprisingly Gyökeres is the top in my list, beating Haaland in every expect of stats and £5m cheaper. Yes! You are not hearing something wrong, we evaluate Gyökeres base on only 14 of his appearances in champions league which is considered a more higher level competition than premier league. Then from his per match stats we do comparison with other premium options.
He has come out top in InPBox C - 2.86 , Goal/Mtch - 1.07, Ex Goal 31 - 33, and Goal/Mil - 3.69. and coming 2nd place on Con Rate - 0.38. His assist indicators also the best among the 15 premium strikers.
Investigating further, we have found out his main ability are ball control and good finishing skills. He is not some kind of players who will just wait for change, but he is also a chance creator.
If considering Mikel Arteta squad ability, and the need of prolific scorer, Gyökeres who will possibly wearing shirt no 14, are fit in well. Kai Havartz also getting almost the same amount of chances in penalty box, so it is not impossible for Gyökeres who is a chance creator to get the same amount or more chances for goals.
Gyökeres first goals for Arsenal are from header during friendly match against Athletic Club proving he will get almost all scoring potential from areal due to his physicality, which are one of the lacking factor in Arsenal squad last season.
What do you think? he is a must have? to me base on all these stats, the answer is absolutely 'Yes'.
Premium Striker Review:
2. Alexander Isak £10.5m
Newcastle striker, Alexander Isak come second best in my evaluation score EvaScore, just one point behind Gyökeres.
He has come out 3rd place in InPBox C - 2.15 , Goal/Mtch - 0.68, Ex Goal 31 - 21, and 4th in Goal/Mil - 2.00. and coming 2nd place on Con Rate - 0.38. His assist indicators also the best among the 15 premium strikers.
Even he coming second placed but his expected goals are still more than 20 goals. Isak Assist Indicator just at average among all 15 premium strikers.
3. Erling Haaland £14m
Erling Haaland, the most expensive FPL striker are in the 3rd placed in our analysis. His stats are better than Isak in most key indicator, accept his Goals per million are lower due to his expensive price and his assist indicator are lower than Isak.
His goals expectation are still above 20 goals this season.
4. Chris Wood £7.5m
At the 4th place on my list are Chris Wood, the 33 years old New Zealand striker scoring 20 goals and 3 assists last season.
My evaluation showing him with expected 17 goals and 3 assists for Nottingham Forest F.C. this season. At a very competitive value £7.5m, he maybe a good option to consider to unlock more money to buy better players in other position.
5. Yoane Wissa £7.5m
Brentford striker, Wissa also are at the same price as Chris Wood, which is a good value for a striker who is expected to score 17 goals and 4 assists. Scored 19 goals and 4 assists last season.
That is my top 5 recommended premium strikers, with convincing stats.
