Basic Football Team at The School Level(Important)

What is the basic football team should have to be a successful football team? This is the most important part of football development.
 As we know the development of football players start as early age of 12 years old. To have a strong football national football team in the future, we must know these, especially to the person that is directly involved in football at the school level.
So at the school level, who is directly involved in football? Lets view the basic chart of football organization at school.

Above are the main organization of school's football team. There are 2 types, a) and b), Head of Sports(teacher) that highlighted in red is the person who manage all sports activities in the school. The main football organization was highlighted in green. Here Head of Sports(teacher) plays very important roles, he must understand what are the current organization of school's football team and he must decide either a) or b). Each one has its own advantages, I will explain more about it below. We can't always change the type because it will affect the players development.


a) For type "a" there must be very clear responsibilities for Manager and Coach. Manager are related to administrative/team management and Coach are related to player management(tactics, training, and teams selection). Even though the responsibilities are separated but most of the time, Manager and Coach must working closely to fulfill the squad's requirements.
The advantages:
  1. Good teamwork between Manager and Coach will increase the effectiveness of team management.
  2. Manager can focus on overall team development and coach can focus more on players development, training, and tactics.
The disadvantages:
  1. Any conflict or misunderstanding on the roles will reduce the effectiveness of team management.
  2. A bit expensive because need to manage 2 personal contract separately for Manager and Coach.
  3. Any decision and goals must be set by both Manager and Coach because each person understanding on different area.
Suggestion:
  1. The responsibilities of Manager and Coach must be written in details.
  2. Manager and Coach must have a good relationship.
b) Type "b" is a simple football management type. From Head of Sports(teacher) will straightly go to Coach and the Coach also will acting as a Manager of the team. For this type of management, all team management responsibilities will be manage by only one person.
The advantages:
  1. Simple because only Coach will make any decision on team development and players development.
  2. Coach easily can set and focus on his goals for the team and he has more understanding on overall team developments and any difficulties the team facing.
  3. Coach can set a reasonable goals because he understand overall team ability.
The disadvantages:
  1. Incompetence Coach will affect overall team's performance.
  2. The Coach must be competent in administrative management and also players management.
  3. High workload for the coach will reduced the effectiveness of team management.
  4. Require experienced coach.
Suggestion:
  1. Must appoint a qualified and competent coach.
  2. Must have good support team for the Coach.
